I’m Maria, the traveler behind Map and Camera.

I am an independent traveler. I thoroughly research my destinations, plan my itineraries, and book my flights and accommodations.

I often book tours with local guides. I always learn a lot about local life from them, as well as details and curiosities that only locals know. I always rely on their recommendations for restaurants and activities.

Wherever I go, I look for the best places to take pictures. Some I find after a lot of research, some the locals suggest, and some I discover on my own.
